Memorial day

We had a good Memorial day weekend. Even though the weather was bad, we were able to do some fun things. Ben was at work most of the day, so I was with the boys at home. Beck and I went on a walk on Monday morning and looked at all of the flags that had been put up in peoples yards. I tried to explain what the American flag was and why they were all out. I hope that as he grows up he will love our country and respect what the flag stands for. We made a red, white, and blue wind sock to hang on our porch. Beck liked to try to cut the paper and then liked to have a scissor vs. hole puncher fight. That became dangerous though, so we had to find something else to do.

Monday night we went to Salt Lake and had dinner with my Dad and siblings for my dad's birthday. It was nice to see everyone. It is really hard for all of us to get together, so it is always nice to see them.

We had a pretty relaxing and peaceful day today. I am always thankful for peaceful days. Ben was home in the morning, which is always very nice. In the afternoon I took the boys to the park to play. Cache likes to be outside and Beck loves to play with the kids. He always involves himself in older kids games. Today there was a cute little girl at the park that welcomed him over and actually involved him in the games they were playing. He loved it. This afternoon Cache was taking a nap so Beck and I went out in the backyard. I took our lawn chairs out there and I sat in mine and Beck sat in his. He liked to go play in the dirt (garden) and find ants and potato bugs. Every so often he would come back and show me his ant and sit in the chair and talk to me. He would sit down and say, "So.....something, something school - something, something dog" He was so funny sitting there having a very nice conversation with me.

Cache has also had his first tooth poke through. He was very uncomfortable over the weekend and drooling a lot. Then the other day I felt the little sharp tooth sticking out. So exciting....even though nursing has become a little scary. He is growing up so quickly.
